How Do I Get Featured in BuyWeird.com's Frontpage?

Getting featured on BuyWeird.com's Auction Watchlist (the main center column) gets you added exposure for your auction on eBay, which increases your chance of getting bids and even making it to eBay Pulse.

BuyWeird.com selects auctions in categories on eBay where unusual, weird, and funny auctions and items are often found. But since BuyWeird features only up to five auctions a day, it is a little harder to make it to our headlines as we follow a rather stringent selection process. It thus follows, that if you're featured, your auction MUST BE SOMETHING!

Getting featured is therefore a big advantage for you because aside from the fact that it's FREE, you also get exposure for two days. On the first day, you are on the First Five of the list. On the Second Day, you are on the Second 5. Aside from that, you also get featured RANDOMLY at the top of the page, and when your auction is about to end, you also get the spotlight in the ENDING SOONEST box.

We have been cited by Canada.com for our tabloid format as "standing above the competition." Just see and compare and you'll know why. And with visitors returning just for our Fun Stuff (funny videos, photos, flash games and animation, and jokes), you also get exposure to a non-traditional audience.

The first step in being featured is to INSTANTLY post your auctions on the right column (Post An Auction). Aside from promoting auctions for FREE, you also get the first crack when our editor visits the page the first thing in the morning. We do appreciate your effort in posting, so we give preference to auctions that were posted here. But it's not an assurance.

Remember, there is no log-in or registration required. No payment or fees (did you see a Paypal button? None).

We don't encourage you to notify us about your auctions through the eBay email system because it would clog our email inbox which we use in our day-to-day trading on eBay.

Instead, you can send an email to info@buyweird.com. This email account was created to accept requests to be added to the Auction Watchlist.

Advertising with BuyWeird.com is not a guarantee that your auction will be Featured. but you do get prominent exposure in our premium spots. Available are the banner area to the right of our logo, a button (square) graphic at the top of the right column.

What kinds of auctions do you feature on the BuyWeird.com WatchList?

When we scan eBay for auctions to feature, we particularly look for auctions that are unique, unusual, funny, freaky, outrageous, bizaare, rare or out of this world.

This is not a strict set of criteria. Our selections may also be dictated by popular demand and mass hysteria. :)
