London Terror Bombing auctions hit eBay!

When it's on the news, it's on eBay. 23 auctions are now up on the auction site that are related to the Terrorist Bombings in London on the 7th of July. They range from copies of newspapers published the next day to an Ipod that's being raffled to benefit a victims' fund.

There is also the July0705.com domain name being sold, and even an Ace of Spades card depicting a victim of the bombings getting help from a rescuer (see picture).

A New Jersey student is auctioning off what he calls the "Worlds Biggest Waste of Money" on the internet auction site eBay. Steven Toth, 23, who placed the "worlds biggest waste of money" for sale on Thursday, is overwhelmed by the attention that the auction has received.

"It's really amazing to see how many people are watching the auction. I really want to see how far this thing goes."

Apparently, its going pretty far. With 6 days remaining in the auction, it has received thousands of views and 63 bids as of Sunday night.

"I'm really having a lot of fun with the auction," Mr. Toth says. "Just yesterday I made a bumper sticker available for download on the auction that people can print out and stick to their car windows. The auction is really taking off."

ROCK with a NIKE Swoosh

Seller nitrogt0 of Brandon, FL says he found this rock six years ago while on vacation in the Mountains of North Carolina.

"We stopped at Jonathan Creek to splash in the water. I began to show my kids how to skip rocks and in the search for some nice flat ones, I came across this rock which appeared to have a Nike swoosh mark. I thought it was cool and put it in my pocket," he says.

His family thinks it's time to let it go, so he figured eBay would be worth a shot. His auction currently has four bidders and will end in 6 hours. Take a look, and maybe put in a bid.

San Antonio Landmark Goes on eBay!

The Olmos Pharmacy on the corner of Mccullough and Hildebrand, "which has served cherry cokes and thick, frosty malts from its taps like a veritable spring of Americana since 1938," has been put on the auction block on eBay for half a million dollars. The Olmos Pharmacy is a San Antonio landmark and a must see destination for locals and tourists alike.

"Due to health and age, the current owner (John Dodd), after serving patients and customers of Olmos for the last 15 years, wishes to pass on the legacy," says the auction page.

"Olmos", as the locals call it, is located within the vibrant city of Olmos Park, and nearby Alamo Heights and within minutes of downtown San Antoinio and attractions like the River Walk and the Alamo.

The business consists of a full service professional pharmacy, otc, gifts, lottery and a soda fountain. The pharmacy offers special services not found at chain drug stores like charge accounts, delivery and compounding.

"I'm tired," Dodd, who has owned the pharmacy for the past 13 years or so, told the San Antonio News. "I haven't had a vacation in five or six years, so that explains what's going on."

An eBay member from Pennsylvania is offering this SONARI ll SINGLE ENGINE 2 SEATER AIRPLANE which his late father-in-law started building in 1982 "so that he and my mother-in-law could enjoy the golden years." The golden years never came about for them as she passed away four years later from cancer. He worked on it until 1999 when he died also from cancer while waiting for the paperwork to fly it. It has been in storage since. "So his dream never became reality... My father-in-law was the only person in the family with a pilots license. We would like to see someone live out his dream," he says.

The aircraft is available for inspection, located in Nicholson, Pennsylvannia (20 miles north of Scranton).

Law Student Seeks Sponsors on eBay

A student who will be entering the Law School at the UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA on September is seeking a sponsor on eBay to support his education.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances - my parents are unable to afford the tuition. I have taken out all loans and scholarships available to me, however I am still short," says Harley Finkelstein, who works as a DJ at Canada-based Global Entertainment.

"I am offering any individual or corporation the opportunity to do something philanthropic & exciting," he says on the eBay auction page.

In return for the winning bidder's donation, he will wear a corporate logo on his backpack while he attend his 3 years of law school. Finkelstein graduated with honors from Concordia University – in Montreal, Quebec (Major in Economics – GPA 3.56 ). He will be completing a Common Law Degree from one of Canada’s top law faculties.

An eBay Powerseller, gmhdeals, tells this story: "Every fourth of July is celebrated with a BBQ with my family. As you can see in the picture that we had a spread of drink and food. I opened the container of Mr Peanut cocktail peanuts and started eating. I came across this peanut that looked very strange. It became the talk of the BBQ trying to figure out what it might look like. Any ideas?????"

Some eBay members who had asked questions called it the "VigiNut", "VagiNut" or "Mrs Peanut".

BuyWeird.com has come up with a better name: "PeeNut". If you've got ideas, visit the auction and post a question.

Twins sold pilfered Lego on eBay?

The Journal Inquirer reports that "police have accused twin brothers of stealing nearly $42,000 worth of Star Wars-theme Lego sets from the toymaker's facility here and selling some of them on eBay."

"Police contacted eBay to obtain more information about the sellers, and were alerted that they had changed their names to "teamgreenkxt" and "1975pontiacta," according to the affidavit," the report said.
