Buy branches to rebuild house smashed by trees

A 29-year-old woman from Ellettsville, IN, is seeking help on eBay to rebuild her parents' house which was smashed by falling trees last May. Sherry Everitt is hoping to raise funds to fix her parent's home by selling the branches from the trees that destroyed the house.

"I'm doing this for my dad... I'm also including the newspaper article that was put in our local paper about our unique situation," she says in the auction page.

Ms Everitt said there have been local people and small organizations interested in helping, "but the damage to our home is so severe that I just don't know if our community will be able to take on a project this large and this drastic. So I thought I could put our story on Ebay as a last ditch effort of receiving more help."

"I love my dad so much and it would be horrible if he has to go into debt because of this tragedy," she says.

An article in the Herald Times reported that two big trees fell on the home of Al and Kathy Everitt, smashing each end, during a thunderstorm last May. No one was hurt, but the elderly couple face "up to $40,000 worth of roof, wall, ceiling, drywall, electrical and other repairs to their tree-surrounded modest two-story home, which literally has been open to the air in places since May 14." Bootleg Live 8 DVDs Appear On Ebay!

Just 24 hours after the event, bootleg DVDS of the Live 8 concerts were already being sold Ebay. The discs had footage of the free concerts in London and Philadeplhia and were fetching bids of up to $31 until they were removed.

A spokesperson for eBay said in a statement: "The unauthorised copies of Live 8 DVDs we have been told about have been taken down, because the sale of fake items is not permitted on eBay.co.uk."

A woman from Arlington, Texas is offering on eBay a her cellular phone number which she believes has been acting weird since last year. She would receive calls on her phone from her own number! And when she had the SIM changed after her old phone flushed down the toilet (yes, things happen), the same thing happened.

"I do not want to give the number to someone I knew, because first, I do not want to scare my love ones. Second, I just want to see if anyone knows the main factor of the problem. Maybe, someone will have the time, effort, or knowledge to do research on this and find something mysterious," she says.

In a couple of video clips released by GoldenPalace.com, the internet casino known for its outrageous purchases on eBay, Kari was also shown walking around outside the tattoo shop showing passersby her forehead emblazoned with the bold letters of the website's name.Some expressed disbelief, while others said it looked good on her.

eBay employee finds frog in green salad!!!

A female employee of eBay had found a frog in her salad served in the company cafeteria last week.

The employee, known as Karpar in her Yahoo blog, said she did not have a piece of the dead frog but "it certainly was startling to say the least."

She returned the lunch to the cafeteria and got a refund. She posted the blog journal on June 22, the same day he found the frog.

"My co-workers have reminded me that I have totally blown it since I could have sold it for big bucks on eBay to some casino. Anyway, beware of the "organic" salad greens from Bon Appetit," she said.

The house, or "dacha", is on the Black Sea in the breakaway Abkhazia region of Georgia, where Stalin had several properties.
